Cassia oil isextracted from Cinnamomum cassia of the Lauraceae family. This evergreen treeis native to China and Burma and is generally known as Chinese Cinnamon. Thisslim, Cassia tree grows up to 20 meters high, with thick, rubbery leaves andsmall white flowers. The flowers are followed by single-seeded berries the sizeof small olives. Cassia bark is commonly used to flavor curries, in bakedfoods, candies and soft drinks. The Cassia oil is obtained from the inner barkof the tree and it is traditionally used as a fungal remedy, natural immunesystem booster, natural remedy for rheumatoid arthritis and infections.
